Hens Teeth Workshop

It's a horrible rainy Sunday morning here in Montgomery, and i'm safely tucked up on my comfy sofa, in my 'pie jarmas' (said with an exaggerated (undermilkwood(esque) accent) browsing through yesterdays 'Hens Teeth' workshop, which went all too quickly:

 L-R:  Viv, Nichola, Ginny, Janice, Stephanie, Julie, Julia, Lisa, Nicce;
Back Row:  Liesa and Becky
 Indigo Moon Haberdashery Gift Kit
 Messy Tables-R-Us

Becky's gorgeous carrot cake, which managed to get eaten before i could photograph it!
The lovely Nichola in her Janet Clare Apron Dress

 More cake

Thank you to every one who attended and made the day such a success

Indigo Moon Creative Workshops are having a little break now, but we'll be back in March with the very fabulous 'Marna Lunt' (5th March)

Schoolroom theme...

This has been a rather nice part of getting the workshop rooms ready, especially being able to raid the shop and shop store room for supplies...

I managed to get some chairs that were hanging around in the store room, i think these will be ok for sitting on and working with some padded cushions.

To frame or not to frame....
...i love these vintage school posters and had planned to frame them, but i thought that they wouldn't have been framed in the classroom, so put them on the wall as they were.
I think they look good.

This old shelving was somewhere else around the house with books on and decided it would look better in this room with my collection of vintage childrens books on it.

of course...Semolina...a must for anything to do with school

old map and an old clock (the clock needs the glass replaced but it works fine

 Old school sign

 Tea/coffee/cake room

took the drum coffee table from the shop, it's just the right size for in here

We put the enamel 'Reckitts' sign up yesterday (much harder than it looked), it looks great and there are a few others to put up too

...and also i took these old chapel chairs from the store room for use in this room, so there's plenty of seating

There are still places available on the workshops this year, see www.indigomoon.co.uk/workshops for details and bookings

In the meantime...back to painting
